Acne solutions you can use

With some slight changes to your lifestyle you can be acne free

 

There are many acne solutions currently on the market place.  The trick is to find one that will work for you.  One acne prevention technique involves using over the counter products to ensure your acne is kept to a minimum.  This page will detail other available acne prevention methods which may be considered more long term.

Stress Reduction

Stress has been found to accelerate acne so the more you stress out about a few pimples the more you are likely to get.  Having said that, you are likely the most critical viewer of your acne.  Many people will find even having one pimple on their face quite stressful.  This unfortunately leads to more acne.  The trick is to learn how to deal with stress. 

There are a number of different ways to deal with stress as it is not the stress itself but how you deal with it that is the problem.  You might want to keep a diary for a few months detailing what is going on in your life and what you are eating to see if you can identify a trigger to what is causing your acne.

Please remember that these types of techniques will not fix the acne you have now but should reduce the amount of acne you will have in the future.

Alternate Acne Solutions

One of the many acne solutions which I have used in the past is to squeeze the white head so that it becomes less visible. After reading five books on acne, all strongly suggest that squeezing your zits is not a good practice as it can damage the cells below the skin and spread the inflammation. 

If you need to rid yourself of a few white or blackheads there are better techniques out there.  One metal instrument, which is called a
comedo extractor, functions by applying even pressure to the pimple without causing damage below the surface. A second method is to purchase pore strips which are like tape.  After applying this to the infected area you pull and the strip should remove the white head.  Along the same line, you can clean your face using an acne face mask. You can do this simply by making your own homemade acne face mask

Another method you may want to consider is to switch to a diet which is helpful in reducing the formation of acne.  An acne diet generally consists of eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, less sugar, more omega 3 fatty acidss and other nutritional products should improve your hormone levels and your acne at the same time.  You may also feel better and loose some weight in the process.

Finally more abstract or new types of acne solutions may involve light, music, nature walks, cognitive behavior therapy, herbs, botanicals or meditation. Cognitive behavior therapy deals with mental process such as thought, beliefs, behaviours and feelings.
